Anastasiia Holovnenko is an experienced strategic communications and advocacy expert. She has worked for independent media outlets such as the Kyiv Independent, Hromadske, the Anti-Corruption Center, and the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
At the Center for Civil Liberties, Anastasiia leads advocacy campaigns. She coordinates a global initiative ‘People First’, demanding the release of all the Kremlin’s captives, together with culture and media campaigns, raising awareness of civilians illegally detained and Russian war crimes against them.
The Center for Civil Liberties, which received a Nobel Peace Prize in 2022, promotes human rights and democracy in Ukraine and the OSCE region — as one of the leading actors in Ukraine, influencing the formation of public opinion and public policy, supporting the development of civic activism, and actively participating in international networks and solidarity actions to promote human rights in the OSCE region.
